Membership in the Sacramento Valley Soaring Society is open to the general public. AMA membership is a prerequisite to joining SVSS. There are three types of membership.
Individual Membership. $45 per year. AMA required. Full voting status, newsletter subscription and use of club equipment.
Family Membership. $60 per year. AMA required. All resident family members enjoy the same benefits of individual membership.
Junior Member. $6 per year. AMA required. Open to those 18 years of age and under. Same benefits as individual membership.
Membership runs from January 1st through December 31st. There is a $5 initiation fee for new members and a $5 late fee for renewing memberships received after March 1st. Dues are prorated after April 30th at $5 per month for each month remaining in the year. SVSS is an AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics) charted club. AMA membership is required to use the club's equipment or fly in a club event.

Season Contest Pass. The entry fee for the monthly club contest is $10. A season pass is available for $80.
